About Out of Schools

Our aim is to provide a relaxed and fun environment for the children to build their social skills, do their homework (optional) and play with their friends. Our Out of Schools programme is for children primary 1-7 and is full of fun. We love arts and crafts, books, games, physical play and much more.

We provide a safe and stimulating environment that allows children to learn through play. Our relaxed but structured routine focuses on free play with a different activity integrated into the programme, daily. We have an extensive outdoor garden area which is loved by all in this age group.

All about our day

Our daily routine covers a range of activities and incorporates a lot of outside play when possible. Our routine includes time for planned activities which are based on a monthly theme each month encouraging children to learn about the seasons, animals, transportation, the environment, health and well-being etc. and we love to explore the outdoors making good use of our own secure play area as well as trips to local parks.

Snack time

Afternoon snack time is at 3.30pm. Children can bring their own snack but we also provide toast, fruit, and cereal. Each Friday we have a special treat day which can range from Pizza parties, movie days, baking and much more.

Collection from school

Children can be collected from school by our friendly staff at the following schools – Cliftonville, Deanby, Carr’s Glen and Cavehill.
